RBA Employees receive relevant industry training and education through professional education sources such as, Thomson Reuters and EBIA (Employee Benefits Institute of America). Carrier representatives regularly update us about various products and solutions available in the market.
There is quarterly HIPAA training for all RBA employees to maintain mandated procedures protecting the privacy and security of sensitive information.
Senior Benefit Consultants hold multiple designations that include Registered Health Underwriter (RHU), Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC), Certified Financial Consultant (CFC),
Group Benefit Administrators must complete the NYS Life, Accident & Health Insurance course and are licensed Insurance Agents.
COBRA Administration Specialist (CAS) is required for the Team who manage distribution of COBRA Initial Notices, as well as preparing and distributing the required paperwork to COBRA eligible individuals.

Many staff members are certified in Flexible Compensation, (CFC) for Claims Administration and Customer Service, to assist our employer groups and employees in understanding the administration of their benefit plans. My daughter is visiting from Germany. She has Foreign Service health insurance which is great on German soil – not too great here. She became extremely ill and I recalled reading somewhere that any family member could use Teledoc. When she hit the second day of a 102 – 103-degree temperature, I knew we had to get help.
