ACA Penalty Letters are in the Mail!
Find out what you should you do if you receive an IRS Letter.
If you were an “applicable large employer” (ALE) in 2015, be on the lookout for an Employer Shared Responsibility Penalty (ESRP) letter from the IRS. It will be an IRS Letter 226J. The 2015 information reporting process had a lot of glitches (remember the IRS electronic filing issues?), so some employers who thought they correctly reported might receive IRS 226J letters. Learn how to respond, how to complete IRS Forms 14764 & 14765 and what to do if you receive Letter 227 K or L.
If you do receive a 226J letter, you must respond within 30 days!
Paid Family Leave
Starting January 1, 2018, the New York State Paid Family Leave Program will provide New Yorkers job-protected, paid leave to bond with a new child, care for a family member with a serious health condition or to help relieve family pressures when someone is called to active military service. Learn the latest guidance and clarifications from the Worker’s Compensation Board.
