COMPLIANCE

Managing an employee benefits program involves compliance with a multitude of federal, and state laws. The risks and consequences of noncompliance continue to grow, especially with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), and if you have ever been subject to a DOL Audit you know that they can be unforgiving and costly.

ACA COMPLIANCE

RBA recognizes the importance that our clients understand the implications this law may have on their workforce and their approach to employee benefits. The ACA includes a number of regulations that have a major impact on employer-sponsored health care coverage. Some of these regulations set certain parameters around health care plan coverage and administration while others may have a financial and/or compliance impact.

Relph Benefit Advisors’ role has been to assume the responsibility to implement the measures and standards of the ACA law to include:

  • Employer Coverage Requirements
  • Employer Mandate
  • Assessing Variable Hour Employees
  • Reporting Requirements
  • Health Insurance Marketplace
  • Individual Mandate

2016 FMLA GUIDE – User-friendly and a great resource

2016 Employer's Guide to The Family and Medical Leave Act

My daughter is visiting from Germany. She has Foreign Service health insurance which is great on German soil – not too great here. She became extremely ill and I recalled reading somewhere that any family member could use Teledoc. When she hit the second day of a 102 – 103-degree temperature, I knew we had to get help. Of course, it never occurred to me to list her as a dependent when I was signing up and I didn’t know quite how to proceed or if it was even an option.  I gave Relph Benefit Advisors a call for some advice.

Not only did the RBA Rep give me great advice, she helped me get IMMEDIATE service from Teledoc.  That is over and above customer service. You can argue it is because we have worked together and she knows who I am, but I am going to tell you that she would have done this for any of our staff members who have Teledoc (which is a GREAT benefit anyhow – we were staring down the barrel of a couple of hundred dollars for an after hours clinic and who knows how much for an emergency room if the clinic wouldn’t see her).

You are very fortunate to have a person who understands customer service working for you in this capacity.  We are very fortunate to have a person who understands customer service assigned as our representative.

Thank you for ALL the time you invest on the topics that guide our jobs.

“Evidence shows that workplace health programs have the potential to promote healthy behaviors; improve employees’ health knowledge and skills; help employees get necessary health screenings, immunizations, and follow-up care; and reduce workplace exposure to substances and hazards that can cause diseases and injury.”

“There was a certain amount of anxiety as the end of the year approached and we knew that as an organization we had to comply with the ACA reporting guidelines and deadlines.

Our minds were quickly eased. Relph Benefit Advisors did a fantastic job with the 1095-C reporting. They kept us in the know during the whole process, from the initial data file all way through to the day they were being mailed.

We could not have asked for more.”

“Hi Adora, I just wanted to let you know and pass the word on to the Relph people that the enrollment web site was one of the easiest and user friendly that I have ever used. It was great not to be lost after a couple of clicks. Again thank you for all you do to make sure that we are taken care of. — Cathy Parmeter”
